About us

A marketing agency built around accountable numbers

We run paid acquisition for businesses that need the reporting to survive contact with their own finance team.

Who we are

Big Sky Investments is a marketing agency based at 121 Beyers Naudé Drive, Roosevelt Park, Johannesburg, 2195, South Africa. We plan, build and manage digital advertising for client businesses, with Google Ads management as the core of the practice, supported by paid social, conversion tracking and organic search.

We work as an operator rather than an adviser. The people who write the plan are the people who build the campaigns, sit in the account every week and put their name on the monthly report.

About our name and this domain

Our business name is Big Sky Investments and this website runs on the domain bigskyfinancials.trade. Both read as though this were a financial services business. It is not, and we would rather say so on this page than let anyone work it out later.

Big Sky Investments provides marketing and advertising services only. We do not provide financial, investment or trading advice, and we are not an authorised financial services provider in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 2002. What we sell is marketing work: campaign management, measurement and reporting, billed as a service fee. Nothing on this site is an offer of a financial product, an investment, or advice about either.

How we work

Every engagement opens with a discovery phase. We audit what exists, interview the people who own the revenue target, and write a plan with measurable objectives before a single rand of media is committed. If the audit says the problem is not media — that it is pricing, the offer, the sales follow-up or a broken tracking setup — we say so, because spending against a broken funnel only buys a more expensive version of the same result.

Once live, campaigns run on a fixed review cadence with a change log. Anyone should be able to look at a movement in the numbers and trace it to a decision somebody made, on a date, for a reason.

Policy-first advertising

Every advertising account we manage is operated in compliance with the published policies of the platform it runs on, including the Google Ads policies. We decline work that would compromise a client's account health. A suspension costs a business far more than any campaign we could have run in the meantime, and the account is not ours to gamble with.

In practice that means we review offers, claims and landing pages before launch, we refuse advertising that is misleading or non-compliant regardless of who is asking, and we tell clients when something they want to say cannot be said in an ad.

Data protection

We process personal information on behalf of our clients under written agreement, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) and the data policies of the platforms we operate on. Where we access a client's Google Ads account through the Google Ads API, our handling of that data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy.

Big Sky Investments' use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The detail is set out in our Privacy Policy, and what our software does with API access specifically is described on the Google Ads API page.

Get in touch

Write to info@bigskyfinancials.trade. We reply within one business day during business hours (Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 SAST). Most new relationships start with a paid audit or a scoped discovery sprint, so both sides can see how the other works before committing to a retainer.

What we will not do

The short list

Being explicit about this saves everyone a discovery call.

Mark up your media

Media cost is reported as the exact amount charged by Google, exclusive of our fees. We are paid by our client, for our work, and nowhere else in the chain.

Guarantee a position or a result

Nobody can, on any platform. We commit to a method and a reporting standard, not to a number we do not control. Anyone promising you a ranking is selling something else.

Run advertising we cannot defend

If a claim cannot be substantiated or a landing page breaks platform policy, it does not go live. That is not a negotiation.
